I have always wanted to raise chickens. There was a rooster in my neighborhood for a while and it was a hoot listening to his cock-a-doodle-do.
Don’t try to pet the roosters.
I wouldn’t subject my neighbors to them but if I had a less urban place I’d have a dozen or so egg layers.
