All things considered I think, our Dads and Grand Dads did a pretty impressive job back then.

Yeah, maybe they should have just run the problem through the computer and 3D printed the gadget.

Yeah, I know, my father was there, he was a Major heading up a supply convoy. They became known as part of the Red Ball Express. He took part in the battle for France and eventually ended up in Germany. Before the war he had biked throughout Europe and had heard Hitler give a couple of speeches. He then went back to the states(1939) and went on active duty. He knew a war was coming.
