You’d damn well better have a compensating (four valve) euph to try this, because of the key it’s in.
But even though it’s a natural for euphonium players to try, I really like it better on tenor horn (even though it requires a transposed arrangement.)

I prefer the deeper, richer tones, though certainly it is beautiful either way.
I myself, as a hiker, am limited to humming or kazoo, which in FACT was exactly what I used in my attempt to call them out today.
I’d imagine you heard quite a bit a laughing on your stroll.
