I believe this behavior was called “looting” during Katrina.

If someone steals bread when they’re starving, I wouldn’t charge them with shoplifting.

If someone stole a TV I would, though.

I’m okay with “looting” for food. Not appliances.

White people “finding” and black people “looting” is a tradition as old as Katrina.
