New Firefox Update

Got a new update from FF just now, with a tab saying “it’s twice as fast now!”

Well, it ain’t. It hangs and eats memory like a MoFo.

My Task Manager, memory window:

The ledge near the left is when it closed the old FF and proceeded to make updates.

The squiggles on the right are the memory behavior of the new FF, and the dropoff near the end is when my system said “FF has stopped, close the program?” and I said yes. There are 3 FFs in my process tab so it’s still there and still behaving weird.

I’d like to find a throwback to FF 2.1 or 3.0

Even BD6 switched to chrome…

It was working well until this morning’s update.

I never could stand FF. I ran Internet Exploder over it until Chrome came out. I have always found it to be a sloggy pig of a browser so this doesn’t surprise me.

I did the same… Firefox always felt like a rehashed Netscape Navigator to me which I hated.

Nutscrape was the WORST!

They moved stuff around, and now I have to actively search for what I want to do. Harder to find stuff. I’m sure they did it just to mess with people. I’m right handed and it occurred to me that it seems to be more for a lefty now.
