One in four Americans want their state to secede from the U.S., but why?

Hey, It worked out well last time - only 600,000 dead

I wonder if the number of people wanting to secede went up after 2008?

if NYC seceded, that would be cool with me.

Rlly, what do the feds have to offer anymore? Endless war, endless inflation, endless Chinese shopping, endless lying, endless spying? Do we really need some criminals in D.C. making decisions for us?

I wouldn’t object to the western half of California seceding. We’d have a very strong little nation-state.

Hey, maybe the western halves of Washington, Oregon, and California would make a good country.

Hey there was something of a movement a few years ago, didn’t get to far of course, to do something like that, I think they were going to call it “Cascadia” I think. there was even talk of getting BC involved.

Yup, here’s some dope on Cascadia

if all the mexicans left, things would be better.

Seceding is something only an insane person would consider

The borders could be closed and nothing in nothing out - over in less then 3 hours

No food, no fuel, no power, no nothing

Any talk of secession should be met with immediate execution

Not that I have a strong opinion or anything

Very cool info. Cascadia! I had forgotten all about that.

Then there’s also the on again off again notion of “Jefferson State” that was making noise just prior to the start of WW2, then it was it was more like a Bundyesque “Libertarian” thing.
