Isn’t it spectacular?!
We don’t really get to see it this far south (I live literally 10 minutes from the WA border) but I have seen them when travelling back east (along with fireflies!). It truly is spectacular to see.

I saw them in CT once. The sky was no longer black but it had a red/brown tinge. There were a couple of individual red/brown clouds that kind of darted around the sky, that was how I knew that I was watching the northern lights.
