Daphne Caruana Galizia, the Maltese journalist who was instrumental in developing the Panama Papers, died from a car bomb about seven weeks ago.
Trumpers spun the story as a payback by Hillary for something or another, but her investigative work is much more likely to have pissed off Russian money launderers or the Trumps themselves, investigators now say.
The bomb was detonated by a text message from a phone on a boat far out to sea, and the explosive first ID’s as Semtex, a military grade plastique not commercially available in Malta, investigators now say was ordinary TNT.
Ten arrested, three charged so far.
