What if all the proscriptions against casual sex were about patrilineal tribal descent and being always able to tell whose kid it was?
What if all the proscriptions about homosexuality were originally about the tribe’s survival in numbers?
What if these beliefs are buried so deep in our psyches we attach morality to them, when they have nothing to do with morality?
What if there was an emphasis on compassion in the long expungement of beliefs that have no relevance in the contemporary world?
What if real morality came from love?
