After "tripping" an old guy and walking past as he bleeds, an entire unit of the Buffalo PD leaves the SWAT cosplay unit

Because the guys who shoved him and refused to help him are getting consequences.

FFS one tried to help the old geezer and another officer stopped him

They only quit the Swat Cosplay Unit. Not the force.

Good riddance. In a more perfect world, they’d be involuntarily retiring from the force as well, and the city would bust their fucking union until they came up with a better one.

The Chief has asked the suspended officers to resign, but he hasn’t fired them yet (AFAIK)

I would assume that as in the Armed Forces, Most High Risk Voluntary Duties were add ons to your “regular pay” As an LEO, So 57 dipsticks just cut their own pay for Socialism, or Trump or who knows, Oh duh, for the poor white peoples!

That’s a lot of bad apples.

I posted about it on Facebook.

Agreed.

Why aren’t these assholes under arrest and facing charges?

Because it’s an institutional problem

These guys are saying the mass resignation wasn’t about “solidarity” at all.

EXCLUSIVE: Two Buffalo Police ERT members say resignation was not in solidarity with suspended officers.

This John Evans guy who’s prez of the PBA in Buffalo, he’s a real piece of work. I saw a synopsis of a previous interview where he sounded like an old school pig cop to the max.

Plus, the PBA has previously had some scandal within the past decade with union officers resigning under pressure over issues with its treasury.

From Spoon’s WKBW article"

“You can’t ask people to do something and then when they do it and it goes bad then you just say they’re on their own,” an officer told 7 Eyewitness News.

Nice use of the passive voice. It didn’t just “go bad”, you guys all fucked up not helping the old guy once he fell. I in particular am only somewhat upset at the guy falling and bleeding, call it a very unfortunate mishap at best. Leaving him on the ground and walking past him, that shows a solidarity of a different sort.
