Probably because studies found this format pissed people, who are used to SMF, off the most.

I really hate the format, I’ve never seen it before. It’s really not user friendly, is that his intention?

Part of the problem is that posts are not being categorized, so the filters become pretty useless.

Which just goes to show that people do not want freedom. They want bureaucracy.

Who’s Sweet Tea anyways, somehow they know me but I’m not supposed to know them… just another disgraced anonymous troll that can’t go by their known pseudonym…

I changed it Sweet Tea because I wanted to. Sorry it’s not the 2004’ish SMF type design you’re used to but I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it… :wink:

Forum technology is evolving. SMF was cool in 2006 but at this point it’s outdated and shitty for numerous reasons. There’s still plenty of shitty outdated sites still using it.

I don’t think it really matters that much as long as people are able to create and reply to topics. If you want the more traditional SMF homepage layout you can always bookmark the categories type page and use it as your main page.

Also I don’t care if you guys categorize your topics or not, occasionally I’ll put an uncategorized topic in a relevant category. When you create a new topic there’s a drop down above the post box to select a category.
