The Eastern half of the State is dry. Bend is nice, it’s where a lot of California Ex-Pats retire to.

My ex, who didn’t end up losing the house because he fought foreclosure, has the house we started building well on its way. 2339 sq ft, appraised at $1million, lot is only a little over 5000 sq feet big.
Three words: location, location, location

I do some business once in awhile with a guy from Bend, he seems really laid back, sounds like a nice area.
Bend is a nice area, if a person had a pocketful of cash it would still be a good time to buy, it got way overbuilt just prior to the housing crash and there are still some good buys on McMansions
