AR15s can be in .22, .223, 5.56, .458 SOCOM, 6.8 SPC, .50 Beowulf,7.62x39 and a couple other calibers
AKs are similar.
There’s regular bolt action hunting rifles that shoot 5.56/.223 and 7.62x39.
Anyone ignorant of firearms should not be in the discussion of firearm laws.
No need for these higher calibers, ban them…
