A single mom of a young daughter relocated to a small town in AZ, and rented a room from an older woman. The older woman asked if she was going to bring her daughter to church and proceeded to tell her where the Baptist & Methodist churches were located. After a few weeks, the older woman noticed that on Sunday mornings they had been dressing up and going out. Out of curiosity she asked the young mother what church she she had decided on. The mother said she had be going to the UU Church, and the older woman responded “Oh those Unitarians, all they want to do is be nice to each other & make the world a better place.” True story. I bought a t-shirt at a GA many yrs ago with this story imprinted on it.
U.S. Bishops, If you’re going to politicize the Eucharist, it is time to give up your NonProfit status and start paying taxes.
